My computer makes a loud beeping sound upon starting up?

My computer makes a LOUD beeping sound when I start it up. It sounds like a siren. I've heard that the number of beeps tells you something about the computer, but there's no beep rhythm or anything, it just beeps continuously. It beeps constantly for about 1 minute-1 minute 30 seconds, then it starts up normally. It only makes this beeping sound when it starts up. It happens every single time I start it up. Here are the specs of the computer: OS: Windows XP, CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6 Ghz, CHIPSET: Intel 945GSE family, RAM: 1GB 533Mhz. Also, I've had the computer for probably 4-5 years now. Also, I completely reset the computer to factory settings about a week ago. Also, this is an Acer Apire one Kav60 NETBOOK. This is NOT a desktop.

I think you need to find out the exact model of motherboard you have, then look up the beep codes for that motherboard. Could be bad memory or something but you'll need to look it up to know.

Okay. Well, the only problem with that is, when I press F2 upon starting up, it says "Enter User Password" or something like that, but I don't have a password on the computer. Is there any other way to see what brand the motherboard is?

When I press F2 when i boot up my pc, it says "Enter user password?" or something, but I don't currently have a password set. Is there another way to see what model my bios is?

There's probably a sticker on the motherboard with the BIOS version. If you know the manufacturer and model, you should be able to look at BIOS versions on their website and guess which number is the BIOS version.

I actually have a netbook computer, so I don't really want to take it apart at the moment. I know the manufacturer and model though, its an Acer Aspire One Kav60.

How do I find out what the model of the motherboard is? I went to the Acer website and looked at the Acer Aspire one netbooks they have listed there but none of them are the Kav60, which is the one I have.

Apparently Acer refers to the KAV60 as AOD250. To get a quick idea of motherboard models I usually just google something like "acer aspire kav60 motherboard". If you're thinking of replacing the motherboard, you should disassemble it enough to verify the model number and the picture (if any) online.
