My computer no longer recognizes my cannon printer and I cannot find the printer

Why did my computer stop recognizing my printer. I cannot find my printer desk.

if you cannot find your printer disk you can download the drivers from canon's website. even if you DO find the driver disk they will be very outdated and you should still download them from the manufacturer's website.
