My computer not turning on and there is a green light in the power supply (ASAP)

My computer is a Hp Pavilion i bought it in this time around 2017, 4 days ago i left it on overnight then later on in the afternoon i turned it off at 5pm then used it again at 8pm then left it on overnight then when i came back from school i see my computer off and i pressed the power button it wasnt working, i even plugged in the ac adapter, it still wasnt working and i didnt smell any burning smell in the computer. And im panicking here cause i need to use it for hw sometimes can someone help please?
 
There are lots of ways that can cause that. It could be your power supply, faulty ram, or the motherboard.
before changing the power supply i suggest that you check your ram first. Just open your case panel, you'll see a small module that looks like a chip on the board socket. there are 2 notches on both sides. unlock it and re seat the ram and try again. if it still doesn't work, you might want to go to a professional who can check the motherboard and the power supply
