Hi I recently added more ram to my home built computer. I had 8 GB and I added 8 more last week. Everything worked find but I experience issues with one of my programs were my computer would reboots in the middle of my work. It happens a couple times. I removed the new ram from the computer and it become stable with 8 GB when I use my Adobe Audition Cs6 find. I returned the new ram to the store and exchanged for two new sticks and reinstalled them. I rearranged my old sticks into different slots with the new sticks. The computer acknowledge it has 16GB of ram. When I ran Audition to edit the system shutdown again. I cleared the bios to see if that help or not. I have been problems with my build ever since I from upgrade Windows 8.0 to 10. Random boots to freezes, high pitch screeches , USB 3 won't connect etc.
I upgrade all the drivers for this motherboard that are current on the Gigabyte's website

Crucial Ballistix Sport series 16 GB (4x4GB) DDR3-1600
AMD FX 6300
4 1TB Western Digital HD Blue
Gigabyte MB GA-970A-UD3P
Windows 10 64-Bit
PSU 500W
Nvida GeForce GT 730

I am think it might be true. I am running my system with 12GB and is stable so far. I might take the ram sticks back and get one 8 GB stick instead. I still wants to run my rig at 16GB for video edit.
