[SOLVED] my computer screen will go black then come back on is this a warning of a problem coming

It's not a warning, it is a problem. I had a similar problem on my new build where the screen would flash off, then on randomly. I have also seen the screen blank when updating the video drivers. My problem just went away one day and has never come back, sorry I can't help much but I believe my system had a hardware/driver conflict that windows finally found and fixed.

Did the problem just start? What are you doing when it happens?
Have you reinstalled video drivers? Checked power connections to card? re-seat card?

This randomly happens or at a more specific moment?
Have the latest bios?
Tested with just two sticks of ram? If they are running at the rated speed might 4 sticks maybe need a (small) overclock of the cpu. The sticks come from one kit?
