My Computer seems to think my Ryzen 5 1600x has 12 cores.

Is there any way of fixing this as I believe this is causing my computer to try and run my CPU too much.

It has 6 cores, but 12 threads which is likely what its showing.

Yep that's normal. Just like my 2700X shows 16 "cores" in task manager when it has 8.
Nothing to worry about.

If you open task manager, go to the performance tab, click on the CPU box on the top left, you should see in the details it lists Cores and logical processors and has the right numbers.
