My computer starts and everything is working but my screen shows that there is no device connected please help

I don't have an optical drive for the CD my motherboard came with so first of all is that required to start my computer?
Specs:
Intel 8400
Geforce 1050Ti
16GB Cosair RAM
1TB SDD
500W PSU
gigabyte B360 3 WIFI
Rosewill case

I connected my PC with a HDMI cable to my moniter but it dosen't show anything on any of the HMDI ports except that no device is connected or on. My motherboard only has one of the red lights out of four on when I turn my PC on, it's the one in the bottom left. my CPU Light isn't on, and neither are the other three. Does that mean that those things aren't connected? I also inserted a USB with windows 10 but it did nothing.

Gigabyte B360 3 WIFI manual page 23 shows that to be VGA graphics card status. Connect HDMI cable to GeForce 1050 Ti HDMI output not the motherboard HDMI output.
