Hi,

I just built my PC about 5 days ago, just now while I was playing a game my pc just shut off randomly. Then it rebooted itself made a beep and shut off immediately and keeps doing it over and over. I turned off the PSU let it sit for 30 minutes and my pc is back to normal. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm worried to use my pc if this will happen again and cause more damage.

Most motherboards usually indicate the hardware issue in the beeps, it's like a code. Have you checked your mobo manual to see if the beep codes are detailed? This will help you identify the key piece of hardware that is causing the issue.

Most likely cause is VRM overheating.
The 9700k is a power hog.
Using a AIO cooler removes air flow from VRM heat-sinks, where a normal fan/ heat-sink would cool the VRMs.
What would be the best solution to fix this a new PSU or getting a heatsink? Dont really want to swap out my AIO for one.
