My computer turns on and off, repeatedly.

Situation:
I have just replace my cpu, case and psu.

With my previous specs:
I5 4440
Msi R9 270x
Gigabyte ga-z87-HD3
Xfx 550 watt psu

Everything worked fine.

But after i replace the cpu with my i7 4970k and replaced my psu with a corsair cx 750m, as soon as i turn on my computer, it turns off after 3 seconds and then turns on after 5 seconds and repeats.

I've seen similar posts but I can't seem to pinpoint how exactly they fixed. Those other posts also seem to have the same motherboard and so that maybe the problem.

Im not an expert of computers and only know the basics, so please explain well.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i5-4440 needs BIOS version F6 or later - - maybe that's the problem?

i don't understand, the i5 4440 works fine with the motherboard, but as soon as i put back the i7 4970k my computer turns on and off repeatedly?

so do i need to update my bios for the i7 to work?
