I recently purchased an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition from a friend, this ram, and this motherboard.
I plugged everything in and turned it on (I applied thermal paste and everything), and all the fans start up, but that's it. When I plug in my mouse (USB mouse), the light on it flashes briefly, but then turns right off. The monitor displays nothing (I tried this with both my GPU and the onboard video, same result). When I open my disk drive, it opens and closes right away. I tried unplugging and plugging everything back in, but still nothing. I have tried using all 24 pins on the power connector, and I have tried using only 20. Same result either way. I'm starting to think it's my ram or my cpu. Is it reasonable to think that?
