My computer will not install ethernet driver windows 7

Hello,
i've got a problem with my ethernet driver, i have tried many ways to fix it like re-instaling the driver,updating, installing the driver from manufacturer's website,system restore,scanning but all of these failed to fix it... windows tells that there is a problem with the network adapter driver but when i open device manager, it says that the driver is working correctly... help please (windows 7 ultimate 64-bit)

What error message do you see (and where does it come up)? What problems do you see when you try to get online on this computer?

It's possible something in Windows got messed up and you need to back up your files and re-install Windows (but we need more information before we get there).

uninstall the drivers in windows then boot into safe mode and uninstall the device from Device Manager, also uninstall any drivers associated with it if they're still there

then boot back to normal windows and see if windows detects it and install the correct driver
