My computer won't boot, HELP!

Today I was playing a video game that my computer can easily handle. I recently rebuilt it into a gaming computer with:

Processor: Phenom ii x4 965 BE
GPU: Radeon 7770
LOGISYS Computer PS550E12BK 550W ATX12V Power Supply
8gb Ram
BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s HDMI motherboard

I've been gaming perfectly fine for about 3 weeks. I was playing today and all of a sudden I got the BSOD. I tried to reboot and windows got stuck at "Starting Windows" then it reboots and gives me a "Windows failed to start" screen and gives me the option to repair or start windows normally.

I've tried:

1. Starting Windows Normally. The process above repeats itself

2. Attempting to use windows repair takes me to a black screen and nothing loads.

3. I've tried changing BIOS sata from ACHI to IDE, or Native IDE. Neither makes a difference.

4. I tried booting into "Safe Mode". This only gives me a BSOD.

Can anyone offer me and suggestions on how to fix this?

What is the Make, Model, and Capacity of the PSU?

That is a very cheap and crappy PSU, I wouldn't be surprised if your lower end hardware overloaded it.

Try a PSU that is quality and hope that nothing else failed with that paperweight logisys calls a PSU.

This PSU I own and hasn't given me any problems and it's one of the cheaper but actually good PSU.

VP450 better imo

I just have had no personal experience with that Antec PSU but I know they make great PSU's too.

But in the end the Corsair model is cheaper, I did get the rebate about 4 weeks after I bought the PSU and it ended only costing me $17.

I got one of these on sale at Newegg for $16, installed it in a Dell C2D desktop; working fine for over a year!

If I were to buy a replacement PSU, the dimensions would need to be 3.4" x 5.5" x 5.8" to fit in my case. Although could that really be the problem? I know it's super cheap, but it is 550W. Could it really overload from my hardware?

If my power supply is overloaded/fried,why does my computer still cut on and attempt to boot?

It could be supplying unclean power, the voltage could be off enough that it effects the components enough that they can't work properly.

No sorry. That's the crappy version of the TR2 600w. Try an Antec 450w. It'll be plenty and won't break your budget.

I have tried removing and reseating the RAM. It does not make a difference.

if you can on another pc download a ram checker try other things like graphics cards or usb boards
