Hi,
I recently turned my computer (Acer Veriton) on, it had worked perfectly before, but this time it began to boot up, stopped, and made one long distressing beep, which didn't end. I was forced to turn it off manually, and the screen didn't receive any data.
I had opened it up just before, and removed a RAM card to check the Gb of it/them, and then clicked it back in, and all was fine, but it didn't boot back up...

If anyone could help, it would be great! I'm a little scared.

The power cables I fine I assume, it worked just a few hours earlier. This time it started - the fan, and then stopped, and then made one long unending beep.

I advise checking, and checking the GPU and RAM to ensure if they are seated firmly.

If you read this thread, and noted the OP only post ONE reply never really did any trouble shooting steps, then abandoned the thread with no resolution over six months ago, how does that in the world indicates the OP 'figured out the problem'?

As noted in the Forum Rules when you signed up, don't post to NECRO(dead very old) posts, and don't post a 'me too' when you do not have the same exact systems specs / problems. Just because the OP posted this, yet you have a 'very long beep and don't turn on', this OP could be trying to get a 2007 Acer to work and wonders why it doesn't (very old and long expired dead system) while your case your speaking about your HP Tablet you forgot to charge and lost the charger and can't figure out why it beeps and shuts down. See two totally different system BUT the SAME EXACT problem.and are NOT releated. Per the Forum rules just make your post with your information so we volunteers can focus on YOUR problem in THAT thread without mixing up THIS OP's problems / responses in this thread with YOUR issues.

Thanks for the advice here! My desktop was doing this when I tried to boot it for work this morning. I unplugged the power cord, took off the cover and pressed on all the components. When I went to reboot it, was thrilled to hear NO BEEPS and it started perfectly. Much, much appreciated!!
