My computer wont let me in my harddrive

Hello,
this is really getting on my nerves and im not very good with computer so i hope someone can hep me my hard drive light up when i plug it in and i can find it in the control panal but it dosent show up on my computer how do i fix this i really need my photes that are on there please help me thx x

So you don't see it showing up when you go to 'My Computer'?

Are you able to try the drive with another PC?

Is the drive making any weird sounds?

How old is the drive?
