My computer wont power on.

I built a pc and I got all the parts together besides the cpu because im still waiting for it in the mail. Its a intel chip, but anyways the computer doesnt power on, the fans dont spin the psu doesnt turn on, nothing happens. is this normal for a computer not to power on at all without a cpu?

If the mobo is a Z170, B150 or H110. And if the CPU is a Kaby Lake it needs a BIOS update to support it

b150 motherboard and a pentium g4600 but i dont have the cpu yet and i have everything plugged in the computer wont turn on at all, and im kind of scared

The motherboard may simply be refusing to power-up without a CPU in the socket. Double-check that everything is plugged in correctly and if in doubt, ask the manufacturer what the expected behavior without a CPU installed is supposed to be.

It still wont go with a G4600 since its a Kaby Lake. You need a Skylake to update the BIOS

Or you'll have to take it to a shop

Only other option is buy a B250 / Z270 mobo
