My computer won't recognize the Sims 2 Freetime disk? It keeps asking for the or

I installed the Sims 2 Freetime, but when I tried to run the game, a message popped up asking me to put in the original disk and not the back up disc. I was using the original disk that came with the box so I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Make sure the disk is clean and not scratched. Also could it be asking for the original Sims 2 disk and not the Freetime one? If it won't read the disk, bring it back for a new one.

I tried putting in the original Sims 2 disk, but then it asked for the freetime one, so that didn't work. And the disk isn't really that scratched, except for like two little scratches on the inside, but that could be it...
Where can I get a new one? (without having to buy the game again?)

Contact EA support, or if you just bought it, the retailer you got it from for an exange. EA will probably make you buy a disk, but maybe cheaper than a full game box.
