Hi everyone
So as title explains, I have a really annoying ongoing issue which I can't seem to fix. I mean, I really, really tried, but no success.
Whenever I try to shut down my computer or hibernate it, it reboots straight back up.
At first I didn't know, like, I found it powered on by the morning while I remember I had shut it down, and I just assumed it was my mistake.
But now I know it was not. I stayed longer after that happened repeatedly, waiting a few seconds after I just turned it off, and indeed, it does turn on by itself.
I started looking at fixes on the internet, for answers that might help my case.
I did everything I found relevant. I disabled fast startup; I unchecked "Allow this device to turn on the computer" within the device manager panel for my internet driver; I changed a registry as showed in a step-by-step video; I cleaned up my computer, like uninstalling unwanted programs, scanning for malwares and junk stuff.
Nothing has worked. My computer has to be forced to shut down, you know, pressing the power button for like 10s. Sometimes I just have to repeat the shutdown-button-click process like 3 times in a row, in between a restart everytime before my computer finally decides to genuinely shut off.
So now I decided to create this thread, in case somebody was my Holy Graal, and could enlighten me. Whatever it could be, if it's software, hardware, viruses, drivers.. I'm willing to try everything.
Thank you
PS: On another note, when I want to restart my computer, naturally I click on the accordingly button made for that very purpose, and.. I find myself looking at the monochromatic screen with this unique word in the middle: "Restarting" but for like a very awful long time.
It's very random how my computer reacts when it comes to power (shut down, restart). I thought that maybe my shutdown/hibernate and restart issues could be somehow connected.
