My computer wont start up HELP PLEASE!

Ok I've had this build for around a month! and when i turn it on sometimes it dies out within a second, sometimes 5 mins or it wont at all i dont have a clue what is happening here please someone help me.

My build is:

XFX 650w PSU
WD 1TB Caviar Blue
Corsair vengeance pro series Ram
COrsair 300r case
Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard
CM 212 evo CPU cooler
i5 4670 CPU
Samsung DVD-RW drive
1 SP Corsair Fan
6 AF Corsair fans

You will have to systematically check your parts: I'd start by re-seating the video card and RAM. Just pop em out and pop em back in, sometimes they are simply slightly loose, making intermittent disconnections. Then unhook all drives and usb devices and also make sure there are no shorting wires anywhere in the case. If any of that is misbehaving electronically that will trigger this kind of thing. Then start with the parts. I'd start by checking your RAM since that is easiest, just take out 1 stick and then the other and see what happens, if it's not that I would try a different PSU, then vido card, lastly motherboard.

i haven't got a video card but i've noticed it does it everytime with my external harddrive plugged in but that harddrive works on all my other computers.

tried using a different psu and the sata cable when in smoke melted it..

I swapped out the PSU for a corsair which was 430w it fried my sata data cable and fried my dvd drive and also one of my sata 6gb ports on my motherboard i have got amazon to replace them as after the XFX PSU wasnt powering on any of my systems and the corsair one was i think it was a faulty PSU.
