My computer wont turn on anymore!

I built a pc recently. The computer started up installed windows and everything. i turned it off to do some cable management and i finished it and when to plug it in and i doesn't work. After a while of fiddling around i got it to turn on. But now it wont turn on at all. I realized that the 8 pin connector was stuck in the slot on the motherboard, to the point to where i tried to yank it out. Everything is connected but i am wondering if it is the motherboard or the psu. Another thing i realized is that 1 one my ram sticks was dead would that mean the other is dead. So is it the ram?

it is a asrock 990fx extreme3 and a evga psu

Update: it turns on time to time but the hard drive is not reconized anymore, PLZ HELP!!!

Post your build.

Double check that everything is connected - especially after 'cable management'. See Tom's checklist - http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

Did you put the ram in the right slots - see mobo manual. Is it compatible with the mobo? See mobo and/or ram websites

can you enter in the bios screen at the system boot by pressing the DELETE TAB?
