My computers dead. Possibly CPU.

My computer randomly shut off while doing some work. Before it shut off I noticed a weird smell kinda like burning. And now will not boot with a display. Can’t get into bios.

Specs

Cpu - Amd Fx-9370
Psu - Antec 700w
Gpu- Nividia 1070
Mobo- Asus Sabertooth 990fx

Try and find what burnt.
Open the case and sniff around and look around.
If you find this....it will make things a whole lot easier.

It happened 2 days ago. So there’s not really a smell anymore. I already looked at the cpu and didn’t see anything wrong. Would there be visible marks. My guess is it was the cpu because my mobo has the cpu led on. It wolnt boot to bios but will power on. And I already tried resetting cmos

Put your nose in there real close.....you may...and I would even say "should" still be able to pinpoint it.

Sometimes there are visible marks.

Being the CPU LED is on....I would focus on the CPU and the MB.
