My computers turns on but no display

I’ve been trying to revive my old computer for a bit now I’ve bought new parts like the Power Supply remove ram etc and now the issue I’m having is the computer turns on but no display on my monitor weird thing is I have the hdmi plugged in and once I unplug the hdmi from the computer the monitor turns on to look for a signal but once I plug it back in the signal switches to hdmi and then my monitor goes to standby mode

Have you tried that HDMI cable and monitor with another computer to make sure they are good?

yeah i have i'm using it right now on my main build

Are you connecting to the onboard video or a seperate card. If a card, did you unplug the card and try via the onboard video? If onboard video, sounds like it died (hopefully not the entire Mobo/CPu/RAM) if you GET NO BIOS (Don't worry about Windows ever at this point we are just trying to POST) then try adding a card and see what happens?

Unfortunately the motherboard I have doesn’t have a video input it is required to use a gpu

Then you need a SECOND video card, or test this video card in a KNOWN WORKING PC to validate it is working.

Then the original card is dead.
