My connection drops randomly

I'm having a issue with my internet connection.
i'm running cable, and i can still go to websites, but my connection on skypes and games drops. The light on my router still lights green and everything is working proberbly on the router.

Its coming sometimes 1 in a month, and something many times a week, but when it happens its much annoying.
Please help anyone

What is your cables advertised speed? Make sure it matches http://www.speedtest.net/. If this checks out then do http://www.pingtest.net/ if it's anything less than A rating then your ISP may need to fix something
