Hello. I have been developing a corewar evolver over the past year called
CRE, which is an acronym for Corewars Redcode Evolver. I have released it
under the GNU GPL at http://cre.sourceforge.net/index.htm. The current
version is 1.0, R2. There is a Windows setup program, as well as a source
zip file for other platforms. (If you would like another format, such as
..gz, please let me know and I will be happy to add it.)If you have time,
please take a look at it and give me any ideas you think of.

CRE tries to incorporate several different methods for evolving warriors,
allowing the user to choose the one that works best for them. The current
release has 3 different methods for evolving warriors, but the development
version that I am working on will have more.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any warriors on a hill (however,
they do score fairly well.)

I am currently in the process of rewriting parts of the code to make it
neater and to allow for easier expansion.

I just realized that I did not include a dll that is needed for the Windows
version. The file needed is alleg40.dll. I think that you can get this file
from http://alleg.sourceforge.net, or you can use a search engine to search
for alleg40.dll.

Linux and other platforms will need to go to the Allegro website
(http://alleg.sourceforge.net) to get the required files for CRE to run.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I will try to upload an updated package when I
get a chance.

Never mind about the Allegro files. They aren't needed in this version.
(they will be needed in the next release) Sorry again.
