My cousin sat on my laptop. I heard a cracking sound, but it is otherwise okay. What just happened?

My Asus K55VM laptop was lying on the couch, when my cousin entered the room to sit on the couch, and he sat on one half of the laptop by mistake. I heard a dull crack sound. When I turned the laptop on , it booted up fine, the LCD isn't cracked or damaged either. The hinges play just fine as before (a little looser, maybe, but I am not sure.)

I inspected the laptop's body closely; there isn't any crack.

If everything is fine, then where did the crack sound originate from? Has something got broken inside, that's not too obvious?

Solution
I would pull the back off and look at the RAM and the hard drive. Pull both out and inspect them carefully. It also could have just been the power cable popping out of the hinges popping out and back in again. Also look for any missing screws on the body.

Apologies for the late reply. Thank you for your answer! I checked the RAM, the Hard Drive; every thing seems fine till now. So I guess it could just be the power cable popping out and in the hinges, just as you said.

Thanks!
