[SOLVED] My cpu 2.3.4.5.6 temperature is really high while my main cpu temperature is low.

Pc specs:

Asus ROG Strix z270f gaming
Intel core i7 7700k Kaby Lake
Corsair Hydro series H115i CPU
Asus GeForce GTX1080 ROG Strix

I dont know much about pc but on afterburner it says: Cpu temperature 40

But the cpu 2.3.4.5 are around 100 degrees celcius. I have cleaned my pc and no loose cables.

Most likely CPU 2,3,4 and 5 are invalid readings and can be ignored.
Many times you get invalid readings with software that reads sensors.

Try using HWiNFO and see what it says. It's one of the more trusted sensor reading apps. If it reports something bogus, the sensors are likely hosed.

HWInfo is good but it will also report bad values if it doesn't find sensors....you just need to be able to spot these bad values.....many times they are ridiculous values or they don't ever change.

All my cpu temperatures are above 80. Is this bad? turning my fan speed up doesnt lower the temperature.

Except for the main cpu temperature.

On afterburner my main cpu is low, around 30,50 degrees. But my cpu 2,3,4,5 etc are super high. On hwinfo i had a bunch of cpu stuff that was really high temperatures. I dont know whats going on. I thought i only had one cpu not 8.

7700K is a hyperthreaded quad core, so you're going to see - depending on the app - Core 0 - 7, or Core 1 - 8.

But are the temperatures valid? Today i was playing gta on 50 degrees on the main cpu but the others were 100 degrees. Is this a problem or invalid readings?
