My CPU cooler is incompatible with my socket type.

Hi, I was at a store and bought a CPU cooler from them, BUT, me being an idiot, I didn't get the name of the cpu cooler, I i forgot about socket compatibility. I luckily found the cpu cooler online, and It's not compatible, and Me being an Idiot again, I didn't get the back plate of the Cooler either. Ugh. My socket is the LGA 1150 by intel.

SO, is there anyway to mount the cooler to my motherboard with out the bracket? I really don't want to buy a new cooler.

That sure looks like a socket 115x backplate. 1151, 1150, 1156, and 1155 all use the same backplate.

You linked a bracket set, not a cooler itself? Unless the cooler is really dated, or specifically an AMD cooler, you should have mounting hardware for LGA115x. I believe the(1150, 1151 & 1155 sockets all use the same mounting mechanism.

I'm sorry. I meant the backplate. I am missing the back plate! Sorry!!!

Can't mount it without a bracket , that link is a bracket not a cooler.

Yeah I need the backplate!! I do have the brackets and screws for the backplate, just no backplate!!!

Some coolers use the stock backplate.

Without knowing the specific cooler, CPU and motherboard it's impossible to say for sure.
