My CPU fan is scaring me

The bearings are failing, you need a new one.

If you stop the fan does the noise stop? Have you checked to make sure one of the fan blades isn't hitting a wire or something else? Most likely you will have to replace the fan it it isn't hitting something.

Yeah it stops if i turn it off. Just got done ordering a new one. Leaving my computer off till it gets here i think.

As long as the fan doesn't stop spinning you will be fine to use the computer. Just watch your CPU temps to make sure.
