This is clearly a bottleneck but hard to expect from a R5 1600X.. moving from 2K to UHD simply (3440 x 1440) should be a FPS drop but not in level as you've mentioned.
i though with 100 hz monitor was gonna be 100 fps with the vertical sync thing enable
but i guess not
with the omen 32" 75 hz the vertical sync was enable i was getting 75 fps playing black ops 4 as max setting and 150 render
Not every time if the PC is powerful enough to make more FPS then using V sync you can bring them down near monitors refresh rate to avoid tearing but in this case i think even without the V sync it will not do 100 not even near. if you really want to go beyond that then i would rather suggest some hardware upgrades. or disable V sync where you can increase some FPS on current monitor
If you Logic is true then anyone would have make cheap i3s and turn V sync ON on 144P monitors to get 144FPS?
Why i7,R7?
so is best to get R7 or i7 processor ?
Depends on the task R7 good for multi tasking which are like rendering/Runing VMs/Decoding Hi Res VIDS mainly becuse R7 comes with 8C 16T and i7 is better do the same but especially in gaming i7
8th to above seems perform well because of their higher single core performance.. so it depends.
i7 8700K 6C 12T
i7 9700K 8C 8T
what about the thread-reaper 1920x 12 threads 24 cores
i can get that one quicker than the i7 8GEN
