Solution
You can't accurately measure the temperature of that CPU; you have to check the much more accurate thermal margins. Don't use AOD to overclock; use it only to monitor the thermal margins of your CPU. If they drop below 0°C, then throttling occurs, i.e., the frequency drops to 1.4 GHz. You can let it run in the background while you game or stress test the CPU.

i got it installed by a professional and the fan is spinning ...... Also the heat sink becomes slightly hot after running pc for about an hour....i have AMD catalyst installed which manages clock speed of cpu.....and if i set clock speed to 100% , the temp runs crazy like 105c ......

Just because someone is a "professional", it doesn't mean they actually did their job right. Either your temperature monitor is incorrect, or the cooler is installed incorrectly.

I don't take my car in to be repaired by "professionals" either, after seeing the corners they cut and the sloppy jobs they do. When I do a repair myself, I know it's done right.

so as you said i headed to youtube and ensured everything correctly and step by step......... everything is correct......... what is maximum temperature for my cpu with stock cooler?...

yaa but it wont be as high as 105c..

i m using hw monitor and core temp

Unfortunately they can't provide accurate readings with an AMD CPU; that's why AMD provide Overdrive.

can you plz tell me how to check temp on my cpu?

thnx bro i figured out that hw monitor readings were wrong... thnx for your support

thermal margin is 15c+ always while rendering a 1hr video.... now i understood whole concept of thermal margin and all
