[SOLVED] my cpu is running at over 100*c running chrome

My intel i7 7700 (not k) is running at 100*c when doing simple tasks as google and the fans go crazy.

I have a mini pc, the asus rog gr8 ii and my pc was fine until one day playing rust, my game dropped to 40fps, but now it's even worse, to the point where i cant even open any games without the cpu almost dying it feels like. I've ran speccy and all the cores are sky high at 100 celsius constantly and I don't know what to do to fix it, it's been like this for well over a year.
What do I do?

Unfortunately consistently overheating a CPU is the easiest way to fry it. Some of the damage will not be reversible. However, you can uninstall your cooler reapply the thermal paste and seat the cooler properly. Make sure all case fans are functioning properly and check/set your fan speeds in your BIOS

Visually check to see if the cpu fan is actually spinning. If it is, then in bios see what the settings for cpu_fan are at
