My CPU is scratched!

Hello people, I noticed that when I took my cpu out of the socket, the two parts that hold down my cpu (on the left and right) has made some marks on my cpu. The mark was kind of thick and was right under the area where the hold down points were. Should I be worried!!????

Pics would help, on the other hand, if it still works, no worries. Sounds like the packaging and maybe not the processor itself is marred.

If you use Intel that is normal . You shouldn't worry with that

What type of CPU is this and where exactly is it scratched? Is it on the green chip itself? Can you post pictures?

I know what you are talking about. My i5 has the same thing and as far as I know, every Intel Core iSomething has these "scratches" from the socket, and I guess it's nothing to worry about.
