[SOLVED] My cpu is stuck at 95°C

Hi, my pc recently had a downgrade in performance and so I check ryzen master and said it was at 95 but when I check bios and it said it was 65 so I was like wtf, then I restore default settings in the bios and it actually work my temperature was good again so I go to sleep and today is already again at 95 and do the same thing don't work so I tried to restores CMOS puting the screwdriver in the pins and the temperature stay the same someone help me pls( and its not 95 I put my hand close and wasn't hot)PS:sry for my English

Yeah,ryzen 5 2600, B450 aorus elite, 8GBx2 3000mhz, Radeon 590, one ssd and one hdd, PSU 600W 80+gold

What cpu cooler do you have? If an AIO are you sure the pump is working?

I use the cpu cooler that came with the cpu

I never tried to overclock anything

Remove the cooler. Clean both coolet and CPU of old thermal paste. Use a decent thermal paste and properly reinstall cooler.

but dont make sense if thats true when i put my hand close shouldn't be hot? and was the night to day the problem begin, so i dont think thats correct

If the cpu is not transferring the heat to the cooler efficiently the cooler can be cool while the cpu is over heating.

But if the cpu is really 95 shouldn't pc shut down?

use hwinfo on sensor page for temp reading and a repaste on a heathing cpu is always good .

Not at 95c, thats the max temp for that cpu according to AMD https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-2600 It will be throttling though. The shutoff temp will be slightly higher encase thermal throttling fails to keep temps =<95c
