Question My cpu multiplier changes back when i press enter.

HI ive got a ryzen 5 2600 which i overclocked to 4.1 ghz on 50c. i only changed the cpu miltiplier in the bios. then i changed the mupliplier back to normal to see the difference. now when i try to change back to 4.1 ghz on the cpu multiplier it just changes to 28 when i press enter on 41? any ide why would love a fix!!!

No idea why it would drop to x28, but if you "load optimized defaults" in the BIOS is should remove the OC.

thanks, but i want to overclock it since it was stable. just dont know how to!

Solved it !!!!! it was a big mistake. instead of typing 41 i typed 4.1 which obviusly dosent work........

Yeah, x28 (2.8GHz) is probably the minimum allowed in the BIOS - so by selected 4.1 (410MHz), it's rounding up to the minimum.

Easy mistake to make.
