Hello everyone, yesterday i ordered a new PSU for my system which is the Corsair CV650 which has an EPS 4+4 connector for the CPU. The CPU i got is the i5-750 2.67GHz but OC'ed to 3.8GHz and for the longest of times it has been running the 4 pin connector which also the PSU only had and had 0 problems. The motherboard i got is the GA-P55M-UD2 and it has 8 pins slot but i can plug only 4 if want to.

The question is, should i plug ONLY the 4 pin for my CPU or plug both in? The CPU only draws ~75w and with OC around ~100w or so so only 4 pins will do just fine but are there any risks to using both and leaving it there even though the CPU doesn't need the other 4?

Thanks you 😀

Connect the 8pin EPS as it should be.
