My cpu power cable bursted. What do i do?

Hi recently I did my first build and when i started it up the cpu power cable bursted with a big bubble on the side of the wire. Please help.

b) did you plug in the 4+4 pin connector or the 8pin pcie connector?

Heres a little bit more info, the brand of the PSU is EVGA 400w and it was the 4+4 pin(only one for the 4 pin bursted with a bubble). Also the 4 pin connector has no burnt marks nor do anything on the mobo.

Ok if there are no burn marks there is at least a chance that it didnt fry everything.I wouldnt risk trying to power it on again, the best option would probably be to rma the psu. What are your other computer specs?

Msi E34-H81 Mobo

Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1600Mhz

Versa Thermaltake H22

You can try powering on the system with another psu if you have on alying around
