So it seems my cpu is bottlenecking at random times and I can't really figure out why. This is an example of what happens when I try to open Chrome
The huge spike is while Chrome was still open. I know Chrome is supposed to be a huge ram eater and stuff, but this seems a little ridiculous. It causes other programs to lock up too. This doesn't usually happen with Chrome, but with intense games like gta 5 it's much more common. The fps sometimes dips and the pause menu acts jumpy, etc. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to correct this. Also, here's my rig:
Motherboard- MSI Z87-G41
GPU- Geforce GTX 970 FTW w/ 4gb GDDR5
CPU- Intel 4570 (not K)
Memory- 8gb DDR3
By the way, my RAM usage seems to stay at a constant 32% while using Chrome.
