I recently (thought) I finished my first build, and I was so excited. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X running on an MSI B450M Mortar Titanium (here's my full part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/cameron13x/saved/QXbQZL ) and whenever I turn the pc on, the ram, ssd, and gpu boot, and the cooler and case fans light up, but the cpu will not boot, thus, the pc will not post. This does not make much sense because 1. I am positive that I installed the cpu correctly 2. I connected the 8-pin cpu power cable to the mobo 3. Everything else is perfectly fine. The only possible culprit could be: there was a very small amount of thermal in the cpu socket, barely even covering a hole. Also, I know the cpu pins are not bent or broken. Any suggestions? I really want to get this thing up and running as it has been a 4 month ordeal.
