My CRT monitor doesn't start

Hello guys,

I've just bought a new computer with Asus Radeon 1950Pro video card but when i connected with my 22 'Dell P1230 CRT monitor, it doesn't start.
I used a DVI-VGA adapter that came with the videocard but the monitor only showed RGB - No signal input from input1


Is there any incompatibility between this monitor and the video card?

I've not installed anything on the computer so far, even OS.

i never heard of monitors being incompatible, but i havent heard much =p. it sounds like your computer isnt POSTing. it might be a short in your computer somewhere, or a RAM problem. A dozen things can make your computer not post =/

I might be wrong though.
