faded?

if you mean it has an image burned into it which still appears as a ghost image when you swap to another image then this is common with CRTs. this is permanent.

if you mean that everything is fine but overall everything is darker... did you touch the brightness option? did you change display settings?

It's a 14" CRT, not worth any money working, and for sure you don't want to spend any money fixing it.

Replace it.
