My CSGO won't launch in fullscreen but can launch windowed

I have posted and reddit and steam steam discussions for help to no avail.

I've also posted on the csgo subreddit and steam discussions to no avail.

I tried everything, it just goes into fullscreen or blackscreen for a second and then exits and goes back to the desktop. I am using HDMI also, this only started happening a few days ago, probably after the small updates.

I've updated my GPU, Windows, and all my drivers. I have also tried verifying game cache, completely installing csgo, and doing -fullscreen in advanced launch options.

The only way I can launch it is when I do -windowed in the launch options then go into fullscreen in the video options, which is really inconvenient.

Maybe try adding

-noborder -windowed -w <pixel width> -h <pixel height>

in the launch options?
