My current build. may need upgrades.

Running on a

Gigabyte 970-D3 (May upgrade to any of the following ASUS M599FX PRO, ASUS M5A99X EVO, ASUS M5A97LE) Please help choose which i should upgrade to!
AMD Phenom X2 (may upgrade to a bulldozer)
16GB DDR3 Patriot Viper 1600 RAM
Samsung 840 series 120 GB SSD
Gigabyte HD 6850 Graphics Card

I also have another drive which i use for regular storage. but is this a decent build? I was able to run some high end games with this build on my old PC with the same CPU but it was on 4GB DDR2 but with the same graphics card too.

Why would you upgrade the motherboard? Don't get bulldozer the best AMD CPUs to get are 83xx series 63xx series and even a Phenom II x4. If you don't upgrade your graphics card a Phenom 965BE is all you need.

If you can get a 8350 then get it, but if that is too much for your budget then better go for the 6300 rather than going for the 6350. The 6350 is like exactly same 6300 but just a bit overclocked, so just buy a 6300 as the performance difference between the 6300 and the 6350 is not that much, almost negligible. It is like just 5 percent faster.

The 6350 also uses 125W TDP which is 30W more than the 6300, which is not good, so better go for the 6300 if you cannot afford the 8350, but if you can then go for the 8350. No problem with that. That is a beast CPU.
