I'm thinking that my computer possibly overheated while I was on it, since it randomly shut down.

I tried to see if my laptop would die I could start it up, but still I get no screen nothing everything is black, my pc disc tray won't open the caps lock button just keeps blinking.

How can I possibly fix my laptop?

have you checked fans are spinning? also if its dirty connecting to external display maybe it will be better over night :)

you won't get much help in this section, the laptop section might be better or the prebuilt section. someone else could help you more, sorry for the late reply.

disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few minutes. Then connect it the AC without the battery. It should start up fine. Shutdown reinstall battery.

This trick has fixed laptops for me having the same problem
