my dell latitude e6510 will not power on

My Dell latitude e6510 will not power on either using the battery or the AC adapter. The power light comes on for about 5-10 seconds and then turns off. Does anyone know what my problem is?

Remove the battery, try only on the AC adapter. If that does not work, it may be a motherboard issue, but you should have the power connector checked first, it's a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the suggestion but it did not work. Still having the same issue. I took the computer in to a reputable repair shop to see if they can find the problem. If they can, I will let you know. Rick
