[SOLVED] My Dell S3220DGF monitor will only display at 60hz when it is supposed to be 165hz

I bought this monitor a while ago and today I realised it has changed itself to only display in 60hz, I have went onto my display settings and tried to change anything there but still cannot get it to go back to the correct refresh rate. Any help is appreciated

Are you using any adapters for monitor connection?

Check the monitors menu. I think you need to enable Freesync. I had the same monitor.

I have a display port for my main monitor which is the one that is 165hz, for my secondary monitor I have a VGA to HDMI adapter

Freesync is turned on when I go to the monitor menu

Check the monitors menu. I had to enable something when I had that monitor.

Just went through all monitor settings and everything is as it should be, even says on the menu that the monitor should be able to reach 165hz

[SOLVED] - Dell S3220DGF can't render text correctly at 165Hz, only at 60hz.

So I received my S3220DGF yesterday - so far, so good... Ish Looks great doing pretty much everything other than rendering text. I've been trying to figure out what the problem is here but can't find a solution... I've found the problem is EXTREMELY pronounced with red text on a dark background...

This states the cable it ships with is DP1.2 and swapping to a 1.4 solved the issues. I never tried the shipped cable to used my own 1.4 without issues.

Ahh yeah I am using the cable it came with will try ordering a 1.4 one and seeing if that fixes it

Yes, make sure the display port cable version is correct. Also, make sure you update your GPU drivers because Display Port will not run above 60hz if your GPU drivers are not updated.
