My desired RAM doesn't appear in QVL's

Hi everyone,

I want to buy the Asus ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming motherboard
and the Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000MHz memory kit (CMR16GX4M2C3000C15) for a Ryzen 5 1600 build, but yesterday i read the QVL's of the motherboard and i realized that the RAM is not listed in that list.

So my questions are this;

1. If i buy that specific RAM will my computer work?

2. Should i instead go for the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000MHz memory kit (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) since that RAM actually appear in the QVL's?

I believe that both of this kits are the same except for the RGB light that comes with one. But regardless i want to be sure since i don't know much of RAM compatibility. Thanks in advance for any guidance that you could give me.

If the exact modules appear on the MB QVL then go for those. They will have been tested and you stand a better chance that they will work without Bios intervention. Don't trust what Corsair lists as compatible.

I have Corsair Dominators at 3000MHz and had a devil of a time to get them to their rated frequency. They were listed as compatible by Corsair however I can only get 2666MHz with any stability.

Unless they are a new release, I don't know any Corsair RAM modules that have RGB. G.Skill have RGB lighting but very expensive.

EDIT: I stand corrected as Vengeance DDR4 have RGB.

For AM4 boards I would only buy memory from their QVL those boards can be picky.
