My display keeps changing colors and locking my pc up.

Good Morning,

For the past few weeks I have been experiencing some display problems. My screens(2) will both change to a fuzzy multicolor mess and locks my computer up. I have checked and made sure that all drivers and programs are completely updated. Also I have checked to make sure that I am virus free(If that matters.). Sorry, I do realize that my parts are old. Below are my PC specs as well as a picture of what it looks like when it happens.

sound like the gpu is the problem

If you have another computer somewhere else - try putting that graphics card in the other computer and see if it does the same thing. If it does - you know for sure the GPU is going going gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooone.

Also if you have another spare GPU from a friend - try that out to see if it will work in your computer.

You can also try reseating the graphics card, making sure it's seated properly.

I just put in a different GPU that a friend had laying around. Will update if problem continues. Thanks for the replies.

I want to thank those that replied. I guess the GPU was my problem. I have not experienced any issues since I put in the other card.
