[SOLVED] My display rate is capped at 120hz, while my monitor is 240hz

Current monitor: 27" CRG50 Curved Gaming Monitor with 240Hz - LC27RG50FQEXXY

I'm running a 2070 RTX SUPER and AMD Ryzen 7 2700X.

I'm using a display port cable, but it's connected to the GPU port, the motherboard ports display as 2.0, but it won't recognise that the monitor is plugged in when I use those ports.
