Did you download, install, and configure the 1050ti's drivers via the manufacturer's website?

Did you try another known working cable and another known working monitor?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.
I can’t download the drivers the cables work and my specs are
Gigabyte ga-880ga-ud3h
GTX 1050ti
8gb ram
Amd phenom ii x4 945

Not connecting. As in, it actually physically plugs in, but you get no display? Or only partial display like bios starts but then shuts off with windows?

Did you plug the cable into the motherboard connectors and not the actual gpu?

What cable/adapters are you using exactly? What connections to the monitor?

Did it say 'not compatible with OS' or 'not compatible with Bios'?

Ahh. Dvi-d is a digital signal. Vga is an analog signal. Not gonna work. You'd need a dvi-i to hook up to vga, dvi-i carries analog and digital. Or use an active dvi-d to vga converter. You can tell there's analog capability if all 3 (cable ends, gpu connector and dvi dongle) have the 4 pins/holes by the flat blade.
