My display wont work

I just built a fresh PC and i powered it on for the first time everything worked except the monitor. The case i bought doesnt come with any display connections so my display is plugged directly into my video card. However i dont have drivers installed for my video card yet as this is a fresh build. My video cards fans turn on and everything so i know its working properly. How can i solve this issue because i cant install my video cards drivers because i cant see anything... PLEASE HELP

i have the ASUS M5A99FX and am using a single nvidia GTX 970

did you plug the power cable from the psu into the videocard? try clearing the cmos as have found that to work sometimes to kickstart a stubborn system.
