I dont know how to phrase this, but my download doesnt match ooklas speed test. I did a speedtest during the day which showed me that my supposed internet speed should be around 5Mbps. Instead, when downloading it barely reaches 1, if it even reaches that. Highest so far was around 1.6 Mbps whilst average is around 700 Kbps. Is there anything blocking this access? I cant even watch videos in 1080p and now Im sitting here needing to write an essay about a movie but it freezes every 5 seconds. Same with the phone. I cant watch videos in 1080p there either and downloading stuff takes ages even if its not a big file. Please help, I really dont know what to do, I changed my Dns servers and getting a new router isnt a possibility since I dont have the money for it and my parents think ill use it for gaming only. They say that everything works fine for them. (for context, it doesnt, they only use it for facebook and sometimes youtube but their phones are quite old and dont support 1080p)

Download what, exactly, and from where?

Speedtest and your ISP report in megabits, Steam and elsewhere report in megabytes. Different reporting units.

Downloading mostly from steam and Torrents. Apperantely I mixed up the units. Thanks for the info. I guess my internet is really bad after all.
